Since inception in 2016, STEM Sports® has grown considerably with its curriculum being implemented in schools, after-school programs and camps across the United States. Our growth can be attributed to the ever-growing need for engaging and appealing STEM curriculum and STEM activities so that young students can see potential careers earlier in the educational path. We’re also proud to work alongside corporate entities such as Callaway Golf, HomeCourt, and Rawlings, to name a few.

We are currently looking to hire a Visual Playmaker (Graphic & Production Designer) and a Bookkeeper

Visual Playmaker

(Graphic & Production Designer)

We are seeking a results-driven player to join the STEM Sports® team. The prospective player should be focused, well organized, and demonstrate strong time management skills and attention to detail.

Graphic design and layout of digital products and materials, including but not limited to:
  • K-8 Supplemental Curriculum
    • Incorporation of illustrations, imagery, infographics, and designs to mirror desired themes and tone of communication for timely publication of products.
    • Promotional brochures, logos, signs/banners, reports, and applicable communication materials.
    • Produce drafts for review by STEM Sports® team members and print support team.
    • Review of final product for errors and needed amendments to ensure quality.
    • Implementation of a highly functional Design System for internal best practices.
  • College coursework/accreditations in graphic design or related fields.
  • Two plus years of experience in graphic design, ideally with a publish-based organization.
  • Knowledge of print design, preparation for print design.
  • Experience with stock sourcing and license management.
  • Understanding of the STEM Sport® mission, product, and service, including demography and inclusivity.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills and commitment to a defined schedule
  • Organized and attentive; create and sustain a design system
  • Present at weekly STEM Sport® team meetings: virtual or in-person.
  • Technical Skills
    • Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
    • MS Office and Google Docs
    • Social Channels: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok.
  • 4-year degree in Graphic Design or related field.
  • Five plus years of experience in graphic design.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A drive and passion for supporting students and educators.
  • Strong relationship management skills and an openness to feedback.
  • Being a prepared and insightful member at STEM Sports® weekly meeting:
    • Active participant
    • Attentive and receptive to internal and external feedback

    • Effective communication and dialogue
  • Marketing and social media experience is a plus.

Official Scorekeeper, aka Bookkeeper

We are seeking an efficient and dedicated team player to join STEM Sports®. The prospective player should be focused and well organized to ensure accuracy of all financial-related tasks. 

Record daily financial data and transactions using QuickBooks Desktop: 
  • Accounts Payable – record vendor bills and bill payments. 
  • Accounts Receivable – record customer invoices and payments. 
  • Inventory – manage all aspects of inventory, including purchasing and receiving. 
  • General Ledger – ensure that all transactions are accurately posted and recorded in the correct accounts. 
  • Payroll – facilitate and manage 3rd party payroll in a timely manner.
  • Support and assist the STEM Sports® Controller with monthly journal entries and account reconciliations in preparation for monthly financial statements. 
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports as requested by STEM Sports® leadership.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree [preferred] in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. 
  • A distinct understanding of bookkeeping and accounting deliverables.
  • Proven ability to manage account ledgers and records. 
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Organized and attentive. 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Good relationship management skills and receptive to feedback. 
  • Present at weekly STEM Sport® team meetings: virtual or in-person.
  • Proficiencies:
    • Financial 
    • QuickBooks Desktop preferred 
    • Microsoft Excel
  • Communication & Organizational Tools: 
    • Google Docs & Drive: Internal drive and document management
