Empowering Educators To Teach STEM Sports

STEM comes to life for students when it first comes to life for the educator. Our Professional Development Training sets educators up with the knowledge and confidence to successfully teach the STEM Sports curriculum. The training will encompass a review of the kit’s materials and supplies, the instructional methodology behind lessons, strategies for engagement, and practical insights from the classroom.

PD Offering

The STEM Sports Professional Development Training is designed to accommodate all learning styles including both on-demand video and live interactive options.

  • Video Library Access: A collection of instructional videos, available anytime, for all STEM Sports educators using either the printed or digital curriculum.
  • Live Virtual Training: An interactive session led by the STEM Sports team, covering curriculum objectives, lesson implementation, onboarding, plus a subsequent 30-minute Q&A session for ongoing support. This training is required for educators using the digital curriculum and optional for educators using the printed curriculum.

We offer extended training hours for purchase which are ideal for large group onboarding, STEM program development, advanced reporting, new teacher training, and more.

Training Breakdown

Our training is broken into five key sections, making it easy for educators to absorb the information. 

  1. Preface: A review of the curriculum’s key benefits, objectives, supplies, and resources.
  2. Implementation: The breakdown of a lesson including standards alignment and how each lesson connects to jobs in STEM.
  3. Project-Based Learning: A walkthrough of the capstone project available for 6-8 grade students after the last lesson in the curriculum.
  4. Digital Onboarding (digital curriculum only): Step-by-step instructions for student registration, assignment creation, and reporting.
  5. Q&A: A subsequent 30-minute session with the STEM Sports team for additional questions and support.
