You will score extra points with our STEM Football curriculum program. STEM Sports uses visual, auditory and kinesthetic methods of teaching throughout this and all of our curricula and there is no holding back the intentional learning opportunities provided on the gridiron and in the classroom during the sequence of these lessons.

We touch on many facets of the game from an historical perspective as well as tackle current subjects and hot topics. Students will experience forward progress during STEM Football’s eight lesson program with modules such as:

  • Gaining the understanding of energy and motion differences between a youth football and a foam football
  • Exploring how in-game communication technology enables success for NFL teams
  • Learning about the nervous system and the importance of helmet engineering
  • Graphing successful pass completions using data related to the use of receiver’s gloves

Use STEM Football to kickoff great new methods of learning using the game as the real-life application to drive STEM literacy in classrooms, after-school programs and camps.

Each STEM Football kit comes with one (1) STEM Football Curriculum Manual, six (6) youth size footballs, six (6) foam footballs, six (6) pairs of Cutters gloves, six (6) digital stopwatches, six (6) 25′ tape measures, one pair of (2) walkie-talkies, one (1) weight scale, one (1) box of 1000 craft sticks, five-hundred (500) rubber bands, one (1) ball bag, one (1) ball pump, and one (1) set of inflation needles.

No experience or previous knowledge of football is required to teach this curriculum. Our STEM Sports football manual includes all of the necessary information about the sport and the science behind it to properly implement the curriculum.

Each manual contains content for a minimum of 16 hours of instruction that includes healthy, physical activity. All of the supplies in the kit are non-perishable and are designed to last for several years. Some supplied items may need to be replaced over time.

STEM Football includes activities and lessons surrounding the length and velocity of a pass, the effectiveness of receiver gloves, calculating the number of inches in a yardage play, and much more.
