SUPPLEMENTAL CURRICULUM

The Ball Edition is part of our Multi-Sport curriculum kit offerings. With a variety of lessons from STEM Baseball, STEM Golf, and STEM Softball, students will discover multiple ways to learn about these popular sports and the science behind them. Lessons include:

  • Reviewing engineering design solutions and use of technology in the Advancements in Baseball module
  • Scoring in golf
  • Speed and energy in softball with the use of a provided radar gun
  • Designing a controlled experiment to test the force of a golf swing

Each STEM Multi-Sport Ball Edition kit comes with one (1) supplemental curriculum manual, two (2) PGA Tour Tee-Up medium-size putters, three (3) PGA Tour Tee-Up medium-size irons, two (2) PGA Tour Tee-Up large-size putters, three (3) PGA Tour Tee-Up large-size irons, one (1) PGA Tour Tee-Up left-handed medium–size iron, one (1) PGA Tour Tee-Up left-handed large-size iron, four (4) PGA Tour Tee-Up targets, eight (8) PGA Tour Tee-Up balls, six (6) Callaway Golf balls, three (3) Callaway Golf halved golf balls, one (1) radar gun, six (6) Rawlings baseballs, one (1) Rawlings baseball cut-in-half, six (6) Rawlings softballs, one (1) Rawlings softball cut-in-half, six (6) 25’ tape measures, six (6) digital stopwatches, and one (1) digital weight scale.

STEM Multi-Sport, Ball Edition includes activities and lessons surrounding baseball, softball, and golf.

Each manual contains content for a minimum of 16 hours of instruction that includes healthy, physical activity. All of the supplies in the kit are non-perishable and are designed to last for several years. Some supplied items may need to be replaced over time.

No training or professional development is required in order to implement STEM Sports curricula.

Yes, lessons are designed for use in both indoor and outdoor settings. A grass field, baseball or softball field, etc. is recommended for ease of implementation and hands-on activities, but not required.

Yes, digital resources are available for all of our STEM Sports kits by visiting the digital tools link found in your curriculum manual.

Each curriculum has eight lessons aligned with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and/or Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and/or National Standards for K-12 Physical Education.
