STEM Tennis Curriculum & Activities
for Grades 3-5 & 6-8

Enhance students’ STEM skills with our STEM tennis activities

"I think the curriculum is perfect for the target audiences. I thought the activities were engaging and think kids would not only learn alot about tennis and STEM applications, but have a lot of fun participating. This is a class that I think would reflect well and kids would be excited to go home and tell their parents about it. I really loved the tennis facts and STEM jobs listed for each module. I think it would bring a really great awareness for how someone could pursue a career in tennis and how the STEM applications transfer to real world knowledge. The courses were easy to follow and would be a huge benefit to schools and tennis programs!"
Scott Bradford
Highland High School Head Tennis Coach (PHX)

We’ve approached each module with a baseline that volley’s equally between engaged learning and physical activity. Students are served with several aspects of STEM, but none are over their heads. We lob lessons at them such as:

  • Measuring the force used in each tennis motion using Newton’s Second Law.
    • Bonus: Billie Jean King’s Eye Coach Training System is included in our kit!
  • Drawing and classifying lines and angles to understand the exact dimensions of the court better.
  • Comparing values and expressions to fully understand scoring in the game and how it differs from any other sport through the popular theory of its correlation to an analog clock.

There’s no fault for giving students the advantage of using STEM Tennis to further their 21st-century skills and science literacy.

All STEM Sports® curriculum kits are designed for repeated use and can serve hundreds of students. Within each classroom, after-school program or camp setting, implementation for one student up to 30+ is possible per module. Or, two modules can be implemented simultaneously. There are lots of variables to consider and our curricula is well designed for expandability and scalability.

All of the supplies in the kit are non-perishable and are designed to last for several years. Some supplied items, such as 500 rubber bands and/or 1,000 craft sticks may have to be replaced over time.

Because all STEM Sports® programs are aligned with all or either of the following standards: Next Generation Science Standards, Common Core State Standards and National Standards for K-12 Physical Education, our supplemental curriculum is a perfect fit for public, private or charter schools classrooms. Then and because of the curricula’s standardization, the modules are a great fit for after-school programs as well as camp settings.

Everyone from science and STEM teachers, to PE teachers, sports coaches, volunteers and even the students the curricula is designed for. The 21st century skills we engrain with students are the same skills that they can utilize to help their fellow students.

Once a Purchase Order or Payment is received, kits will arrive in five (5) business days.
